OK, so for you guys this will be your second match of the season, but my first.
I warmed up nicely, returning the opening kick 92 yards for the score, and a shiny new PSN trophy (Hear a Pin Drop)
My Player of the Game was HB Edwin Baker. 21 carries for 165 yards and 3 scores. I busted a rush for 70 yards, and thought I would be smart and high-step it in with no-one around. I accidentally pressed "Square" and dived 2 yards short LOL.
Have 42% of the NCAA trophies so far.
Have you guys got Trifecta (Score Receiving, Rushing and Passing TD with 1 player)? I still haven't forced a Safety. Got close a few times, but either on the 1 yard or the QB gets it off just before the hit.
Posted below is timmy's recap of his match for this week.
BC, feel free to leave a review of your match v Notre Dame as a comment below this post :-)
From timmy...
Just wanted to tell you that I beat NIU 40-7 and only scored 2 Offensive TD's.
I had a FG return TD (broke fumble return record [I dont know what the deal is with returned FG attempts being counted as fumble recoveries]) a kickoff return TD and a pick 6.... and a safety :p
They are a C- team so my backups got playtime.... and gave up the TD.

I uploaded some pics, but the damn vid wont work.
ReplyDeleteI have a pick of my fumble at the 1 when I could have went ahead in my bowl game (personal choice) I have a good shot of my QB throwing the ball, and I also have a nice pic of my D forcing a fumble.
Either of these should work.
Thanks man, I'll check 'em out and see what works :-)
ReplyDeleteWeek 2 Game summary - Michigan at #22 Notre Dame
ReplyDeleteMichigan silenced the home crowd early, forcing Notre Dame to go 3-and-out on their first two offensive possessions. With a minute or so remaining in the opening quarter, Michigan went on to score the first points of the game off a Tate Forcier play-action pass that found junior WR Martavious Odoms in the corner of the endzone.
These would be the only points scored until late in the first half, when QB's from both teams went into shootout mode. A 27 yd TD pass with 1:01 remaining in the half capped off a 50 or so yard drive by Notre Dame, but Mich QB T.Forcier responded only 16 seconds later when he connected with Jeron Stokes. The freshman WR surprised almost everybody when he put on the sick juke move and took it 59 yards after the catch... all the way to the house. Notre Dame added 3 more points to end the half, making it 17 points in which the two teams scored between them in the final minute.
Michigan's freshman HB, Vincent Smith, stepped it up in a huge way in the second half. Smith ended the game with 121 yards from 27 rushes, and was the reason why Notre Dame didn't touch the ball for the entire 3rd quarter. with 4:58 remaining in the game he was rewarded with his second touchdown of the season, punching it into the endzone from the 1yd line to make the score 21-10 in favour of Mich.
After forcing Notre Dame to punt and getting the ball back, Michigan controlled the clock once again, a 26 yd FG with 9 seconds remaining all but sealing a 24-10 win.
This win away from home sees Mich into the Top 25 coaches' poll for the first time in a long time. The victory also means Notre Dame falls from #22 to not being ranked, something that should continue to fuel this great rivalry between the two teams.
Players of the game were Michigan QB Tate Forcier with a stat line of 11-15, 191 yds, 2 TD; and receiver A. Allen from ND with 4 rec, 63 tds, TD.
