Week 10 and Week 11

Week 10 has been, and gone. I have been slack...sorry guys.

Timmy rolls on to 9-0 with a solid victory this week over Indiana (35-14). And in Week 11 news, that takes Timmy to the Number 1 BCS ranking :-) Rose Bowl woooot. Obviously we will need to tinker with the AI in the offseason to make things a lil more difficult. Except for me. I suck haha j/k

BC and I had a really enjoyable match. His running game was rolling, and at least twice had drives lasting 10 plays or more. Really solid effort. Defensively, he stuffed any run game I even thought about. I aired it out decently, but the the "Lag Monster" hit us both. Sooooo bad, BC will vouch for this, I wondered at one stage if I could forfeit the match, it was doing my head in. Thankfully we carried on, and with about 1:50 left in the 4th qtr. normal service was resumed. I may have to invest in a long patch lead to run from the PS3 to wireless router, instead of wi-fi.

Anyway final score was 24-18.

BC faces a 3-5 Minnesota, in a bid to boost his current ranking from #19.
My Spartans are looking to return to the Winners Circle and rescue a once promising season from a losing record. Indiana will be the visitors in this clash.

Best of luck, and post comments/reviews below.

Cheers,
WolfMan.

Week 9

Week 9 is here.

The red-hot Northwestern travel to #21 Purdue (5-2) in what I hope will be a decent test for Timmy.

Conversely, a 2-5 Iowa lay ahead of BC's Michigan, who have slipped to #22 in the rankings, probably due to the inferior quality of opponent last week in the shape of Akron.

Spartans have a 5-2 Wisconsin job to face. Confidence is at a low point after last week's gut-wrenching loss to a mid-range opponent.

Missed FG return video

Just wanted to share this with you. From my Offline Dynasty (I am in year 3 with Colorado Buffaloes). This same player returned 2 kickoffs for scores in this match :-)

Week 8

Week 8 is here, and it provides some pretty interesting matchups.

Now #3 ranked Northwestern entertain #22 Penn State (4-2) in a nationally televised night match. BC's Michigan outscored this Penn State team by  2 points just two weeks ago, and is the source of their only conference loss, so far.

Michigan have what should be a routine assignment when they host Akron (2-3). Coming off a win last week over Miami University (1-6), Akron faced 21 3rd downs. converting just 6. If Michigan can sustain some OL pressure, the mistakes should come.

The Spartans also have a fairly standard opponent in Minnesota. In saying that, Timmy's NU had enormous trouble against them last week, taking it into OT before eventually putting it to bed. Perhaps Minnesota will draw confidence from a tight game. But I hope not :-)

Game reviews etc. below as comments guys.

Good Luck,

Week 7

Wow. Still both you guys running hot at 5-0. Impressive. And scary for me haha.

Timmy's NU breaks into the top 5!!!! Now #4 Wildcats host a 2-3 Minnesota, a stepping stone on their way to a higher Coaches Poll ranking I am sure :-).

BC also 5-0 with Michigan, faces a much sterner test as #10 Purdue roll into town. With 4 wins, their only loss so far came in Week 1 at an always tough Notre Dame. 4 wins on the bounce, and fresh off a Bye Week should make this game one to watch.

My Spartans make the trip to Kent State (1-4), for I think the first time in a match with no broadcast this season.

Best of luck guys.
